Jet setting around

You would think we're millionares. I have to go to Iceland, to renew my status as a tourist, since my three month tourist visa has expired. My green card is not going to be ready though, which means that in January I have to go back to pick it up. Such a hassle, not that I really mind being in Iceland, but it's the cash and the family having to figure out everything without mommy around. Jeff's dad is actually coming down when I'm gone to make sure everything runs smoothly, that way Jeff can also keep on working, somebody's gotta do it...
Yesterday I was at the kids school attending teacher parent conferences. Their report cards are pretty good, considering all the transformation they've had to go through. Sölva is such a good student, she got awarded a Super Kid award. They had a little ceramony for the Super Kids, where they got certifacits and buttons, she wore that button every day to school last week. You can just imagane how proud she was, and us too.
Reginn is improving alot, I was in his classroom this morning for an open school day. The teachers are really amazing in keeping those kids calm and productive, I felt much better after seeing how well they're structured, And surprised that out of a class of 24 boys and 7 girls, all special ed kids, I was the only parent that showed up.
We are now going to Icelandic school every other saturday, and I'm helping out with the teaching. There are about 45 icelandic kids enrolled, and some don't speak any Icelandic, but that's what we're there for.
Yesterday we had our M.N.D.C(monday night dinner club), it was Jeff's turn to cook, he cooked up a feast, ribs, corn on the cob, yumm. There was no special guest this time around, usually we try to invite one or two guests, just to stir things up a little bit. Jeff convinced Renda and Nick to play Scrabble, it was really fun, especially for me, the little icelandic lady that won. Of course I take all games way to seriously, my only goal is to win, win, win, he ,he.
Oh, yeah little miss Sölva has a boyfriend, his name is Otis and he's eight. They were talking on the phone the other day, when they were saying goodbye they included, I love you too. I was laughing so much after that cute farewell, that Sölva got a little offended. I explained to her I wasn't laughing at them, i just thought that the whole situation was funny, right? We as parents are stepping back, keeping a close eye and letting them sort this out themselves.
Keep checking in on us,
