We went to the rooftop tonight to see the fireworks from Prospect Park. The kids fell asleep around 11:00 and we couldn't wake them up, no matter how much we tried. The clock stroke twelve and the fireworks went off, along with gunshots way too close for comfort. Yep, it had to happen at some point. We're now the proud new members of the Park Slope coop. It's the only place that's close (it takes me 30 minutes to walk there) that has products that we crave, like nutella, dutch cheese and all the veggies you can dream of and it's cheaper.
